Customer Reviews
When we adopted our puppy he was a scared little guy who was easily ramped up and frankly quite dangerous. After one session with Lee Ann we knew he was going to learn to be a very good boy. It wasn't long at all in his training before we were able to take him on walks and introduce him to people without the fear that he might attack. Barking Birch has been a ife saver for us. Tucker loves Lee Ann and Stuart and we are forever grateful for their help.
LeeAnn saved me from having to re-home my new pup. She is now a year and a half old and without LeeAnn’s insight, experience and expertise I don’t know how I would have managed. She and Stuart are caring loving people. Always ready to be helpful and problem solve. Barking Birch Farm is a beautiful place where dogs can learn in a safe and protected environment. They are both highly skilled professionals. I am so glad I found them.
We started bringing our rescue terrier Louise to LeeAnn shortly after we got her 2 1/2 years ago. We immediately discovered that she is a dog whisperer! Louise is absolutely devoted to her and Stewart, and loves her weekly runs in the woods off leash with her 'pack'. We, and Louise are lucky to have found them.
Lee Ann is an amazing dog whisperer! She has transformed my crazy, reactive terrier mix into a sweet dog who is eager to please. I had brought him to other trainers, but with no luck. Lee Ann literally had him eating out of her hand in minutes. He is eager to go there and loves his time off leash, including various training exercises. She put together a wonderfully vetted small dog group that he enjoys so much. It is the first time I've really seen him smile-and not want to leave! She's highly recommended!!!
I have worked with many dog trainers over the past 30 years or so of adopting dogs from shelters. Lee Ann is the first trainer I met who, to my mind, actually embodies the description of "dog whisperer". Her way of being with dogs is gentle, respectful, observant and attuned leadership; her canine students naturally, and happily, follow her lead. She has a similar style of teaching humans through making us more mindful and aware of what, exactly, we are wanting to communicate to our charges and how to do that clearly so that the canine psyche understands what is being asked. I am fortunate with my most recent rescue that she does not have any behavioral issues at this time. But I signed her up for a doggie play group so that she could have the socialization and exuberant off leash pack
