Barkin' Up Hickory

Barking Up Hickory is truly the best! My dogs absolutely love going there, and I always feel completely at ease leaving them in such great hands. The staff clearly cares deeply about every dog—they take the time to get to know their personalities and make sure each one feels comfortable and happy. One of my dogs can be a little standoffish, but even she always comes home tired, happy, and clearly well cared for. That says so much about the way they run things and the trust they build with the dogs. From daycare to boarding, Barking Up Hickory goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend them more highly—they’re caring, professional, and truly make it a fun experience for the pups. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Pup has been going to Barkin' Up Hickory once a week for years! She/Molly has a blast and is tuckered out after her day of play! Ben, the owner, is a great guy, and his employees are always very pleasant!!!!

We love this place and our yellow lab Lucy loves it even more. She never misses us when we go on vacation because she gets excited to go to doggy day care. The owner always says "Lucy you ready to party?" when we drop her off. Yes my lab gets sometimes a little too excited so they prefer we drop her off in the morning to settle down as sometimes she "plays too much" (aka a little hyper). We would recommend to anyone.

They are hands down the best boarding and daycare place around. The staff is extremely accommodating and kind. The owner is very compassionate and always takes great care of Berkeley. Berkeley is always so excited to go and see Ben, and she loves it there.

All I have to do is mention the owner's name and our dog goes nuts with anticipation. He will bounce around the car until I let him in. He will get annoyingly giddy as we turn onto Hickory street. Needless to say, i think our dog enjoys his visits here. Our dog is about 9 yrs old and still has the energy of a puppy (a golden doodle that is probably 90% poodle). One day a week here and his energy levels come down to a tolerable level and well worth the expense. We use this location and their Delafield location for boarding and our dog always comes back happy. We've been bringing our dog here for probably the part of a decade and never had any issues. They are always flexible and have definitely saved our hind end when the wife and I fail miserably at planning our family vacations. They
