BARC Houston Foster Pickup

They are very good to the organizations that are picking up animals. I know they have a job to do but I wish they wouldn't euthanize these animals so quickly. I also wish people would be more responsible animal owners and take care of their animals instead of letting them run loose. Maybe it's time to start severly punishing these people who abuse their dogs. This is not a place for the weak at heart.

We saw an available dog on the website that we really wanted to adopt. I went the same day but he was already "gone," which was sad, but I was able to walk through the kennels and found a different dog. He was heartworm positive but the adoption fee covered treatment and he will soon be completely cured. Although they don't seem to update the profiles online very often, they have so many dogs that need rescued.

Saw a puppy on the adoption page that my husband fell in love with. Tried to contact them via email to find out more about the dog, got no response. Made the trip to come see about the dog in person. First why do you need my ID for me to talk to someone about adoption? Weird and creepy. Finally spoke to the person about the dog and she advised the dog was only adaptable by a rescue group and we couldn't do anything further. 🤬 My hubby was heartbroken and Valentine's Day adoption was ruined by this stupid organization. You literally have people wanting to adopt an animal and turn them away. Make that make sense.
