Extremely frustrating to deal with and loads of predatory practices that will all cost you money. I’ve tried to call to make appointments for something as simple as to have my cat’s nails trimmed, and they tell you they don’t make appointments for trims, but to just bring him in. But then you “just bring him in” and they will not hesitate to turn you away because they’re too busy. So they are clearly fine with wasting your time. I have to give my poor cat Gabapentin for his visits to keep him calm so he doesn’t try to scratch the staff or freak out in his carrier on the car rides, so it’s incredibly frustrating when you go through the trouble of drugging your older cat with something that makes him very groggy, and the un-sympathetic guy behind the counter asked me if I had “more of the p

I was misled and l believe purposefully by the vet tech because they earn commission on selling a wellness plan. Here is what happened to make me say stay away as this practice appears to prioritize profits over the health of your pet. I was took my cat in for shots and asked if they would trim his matted hair while l was there. I told that my cat would have to be put under in order to get his hair trimmed around his bum. I specifically asked could l not just take him to the groomers? The answer came back that l wouldn't find anyone to do it. The area is too sensitive. The cost of the procedure was going to be astronomical. This is when she said you need to buy a wellness plan and you should get the dental plan so that is the only way to get some discount on the anesthetic and so we will

Not good customer service. I called to obtain a vet reference. The file was an older file which I understand not all information can be obtained. However, while trying to obtain a vet reference the lady stated "is that all you need since I have client here who I need to attend". For good customer service, you can not rush someone on the phone. If you answer the phone call, this means you will provide all your attention to them to meet their needs. Then proceed with another client. If you are busy, allow the caller to be on hold or send them to voicemail. This is basic customer service knowledge.

I’m extremely disappointed with Banfield Pet Hospital located inside PetSmart. I brought my Yorkie Lucy in on June 25 for two scheduled vaccinations. Right after the visit, she developed two large lumps at the injection sites. By June 27, one of the lumps had turned into a painful open wound. I contacted the clinic immediately, but they refused to see her the same day, despite the fact that my dog was lethargic and clearly in pain. The earliest they could offer was an appointment the next morning — Saturday, June 28. At the visit, they offered to clean the wound and give her medication — but charged me $380 for treating a condition they themselves had caused. I refused their services and decided never to come back. I contacted their support right away, on June 28, requesting to cancel m

My family and I rescued this sweet pup on very short notice. She had worms and ring worm. She hadn't had any of her shots and was so dirty. We brought her home and immediately called Banfield because I had heard about their wellness plans and wanted to know more. They got me in the very next day. Everyone we encountered was extremely kind and professional. I never felt rushed. And they actual listened to my concerns and questions. I highly recommend them and their plans.
