I had an outstanding experience at Banfield Pet Hospital in Miramar, and I can’t say enough great things about the team there. I brought my dog in for a suspected ear infection, and from the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, professional, and attentive. First I was seen by the Nurse: Ray and he was absolutely phenomenal. He took the time to thoroughly examine my dog and, more importantly, patiently showed me how to properly and safely clean my dog’s ears at home. He didn’t rush through the explanation and he made sure I understood each step and reassured me that we were already doing a good job. That kind of care and encouragement truly makes a difference for pet owners. Dr. Barretto was equally impressive. He was incredibly gentle with my dog and explained everything step by step s

I had a very disappointing and heartbreaking experience at this Banfield location in Miramar. I came in urgently because my dog was suffering, and instead of compassion or support, the person at the front desk was extremely cold, unhelpful, and completely lacking in empathy. When you walk into a veterinary clinic with a pet in distress, the minimum expectation is human understanding — unfortunately, that was not offered here. The attitude felt desensitized and almost dismissive, which only added more stress to an already painful situation. If I had to choose again, I would go to any other Banfield location except this one. The human element here was missing entirely: zero compassion, zero understanding, zero empathy. Our pets deserve better, and so do the people who love them.

Our cat lost her vision and we went to them for help. They referred us to Eye Guru and told us to follow-up with them afterwards. After our vist with Eye Guru follow-up with them as instructed. Nothing was accomplished at the follow-up visit and they referred us back to the eye specialist. It just seems they don't know what they are doing and we just keep spending money going back and forth. We are done with this place!

The doctors, nurses, and front desk team are wonderful, kind, patient, and genuinely caring. That said, I was disappointed with the experience at the management level. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude, and considering the high bill even with insurance, it was concerning that one of my dog’s prescribed medications was not included. When it comes to a pet’s recovery, accuracy and professionalism are essential. I share this with respect, hoping it helps improve the experience for future clients, as both pets and owners deserve attentive, complete, and respectful care.

I have to discourage other cat owners from going to this location. Overall they did not seem experienced with cats. My records from the visit are missing any information regarding the main reasons why we made a visit. My cats’ weights were also recorded incorrectly, then changed twice, and still wrong. One of my cats is elderly and losing weight, so getting something that basic right really mattered to me. I would imagine it also matters for amount of medication they would need. When I asked for guidance on caring for an older cat, I received vague answers and little real help. They also repeatedly tried to switch the conversation to Spanish. I don't speak it often I am not as fluent anymore, and it takes me longer to understand things in Spanish. I explained that I prefer English, yet the
