On 11/18 I brought my dog in for an infected mass on his toe. I was told the mass “didn’t look good,” a sample was sent out to pathology, and I was told I’d hear back by the end of the week. I was also sent home with no medication for the active infection. When the end of the week came, I called for an update and went straight to a voicemail saying the office was closed. This continued for an entire week—no returned calls, no communication, nothing. I eventually found the pathology report myself through the Banfield app (thankfully it wasn’t cancer), but at this point the infection had worsened significantly because he still had no treatment. I ultimately had to bring my dog to Tufts Emergency, where the infection was so bad they warned that if medication didn’t work, his toe might need
I was charged $89.95 for a vaccine appointment plus $37.24 for the Kennel Cough vaccine just so my dog can get a vaccine to board at a kennel. Previously, you simply were charged for a tech fee when your pup needed a vaccine (and not any doctor care), but now you are charged for the doctor fee. Please change this policy! Also, Banfield is not using Paw Safe salt on the ramps/stairs to their clinics. They are using regular salt. This should be a given, Banfield! Please switch to Paw Safe!
My cat had an eye infection for months. We were given 3 different antibiotics over the course of several weeks. I tried to explain a medication that had worked a year before but was ignored. I never got to speak to the actual doctor and only got to interact with the technician who relayed information to the vet. I went to a different vet who solved the problem in a single visit.
Banfield pet hospital Medfield is wonderful. The staff are very caring and loving to my fur baby and meets all her needs.🐺❤️
Very dirty place. From the front of the building being filled with dog poop bags to the terrible urine smell in the lobby. The front desk guy was very helpful and so was a girl when I called. I have been in a different Banfield for years but this one surely needs some love.
