Banfield Pet Hospital

Love our experience at this Banfield since moving from Winchester. The wait time to check in is always reasonable and quick; the vets are very knowledgeable, kind, and informative; and the location is easy to get to. My anxious dog is excited to go see them and chills out easily, which is a big win!

My husband and I just moved across the country with our 16-year-old cat, and this was our first visit to Banfield in our new state. We previously had a wellness plan with Banfield in California, and it honestly wasn’t a great experience. We decided to get Simba checked out before we think about leaving Banfield, so we went to the local Leesburg Village location, and wow, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We were immediately greeted by the front desk staff and checked in with ease. The area was clean and didn’t smell. We were asked if we wanted to stay with our pet during the appointment, which was shocking because our old Banfield was strictly drop-off/pick-up, barely ever met the doctor, etc. But we were not only able to meet Dr. Swieter in Leesburg, but also able to witness

I’ve been going to this Banfield for about 5 years now, and the only reason I’ve stayed on the wellness plan and banfield for my dogs is because of Dr. Swieter — he’s truly amazing, patient, and caring. I don’t even mind waiting for him (I’ve waited 45 minutes or more before my appointment, which is okay and that’s not the issue at all with me because I know he takes his time with each patient). However, today’s front-desk experience was really disappointing. After waiting a total of about an hour and a half from my appointment time, I asked the receptionist, Reina, or Rena, if I could see a breakdown of the services and charges after she showed me that she ran my CareCredit like I asked her. This was our first visit to this location, and I was very pleased with the outstanding customer service. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous. Our dog was seen by Dr. Johnson, who was attentive, thorough in her explanations, and offered thoughtful treatment recommendations. She truly went above and beyond. Dr Esch is fabulous with my mini Schnauzer. He always gets the best care. Haley at the front desk is amazing- she is incredibly nice and recognizes Beau by name. The practice manager is also lovely. I appreciated the after-surgery phone call following up on Beau's recovery.
