Banfield Pet Hospital

I have been taking my pets to Banfield in Chesterfield for over 30 years. We went through a rough patch for a while with new staff, but a lot of the folks that didn't seem to know what they were doing were weeded out quickly. Dr. Hartman is our specific vet and is simply amazing. He does not mince words, and I appreciate that a lot. He is very kind to all of my babies (a pup and two kittens) but he is especially amazing with my older pup. She was diagnosed with Cushing's November 2024, and I was so upset with the diagnosis, but Dr. Hartman sat down with me and explained that we caught it extremely early and he had no reason to believe she could not live many more years as long as she was on the proper medication. I would like to commend the team at this Banfield location for the outstanding care they provided to my German Shepherd, Bruno. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff genuinely cared about his well-being as well as my concerns. Bruno has a few social sensitivities, and the team was not only understanding but also very accommodating to his specific needs, which I truly appreciated. While I regret not recalling everyone's name, I want to emphasize that each staff member we interacted with was professional, attentive, and compassionate. There was a bit of a wait due to other pets being seen at the time, but the quality of care more than made up for it. This experience absolutely deserves a 5-star rating, and we will definitely be returning.

Leah was so welcoming and quick to take care of us! Rachel was the best tech! She and Noah were so knowledgeable and sweet with our dog! And Dr Spezia took care to address all our concerns and make Oreo feel comfortable!

Dr. Hartman was so kind to my very scared dog. He actually spent time with us. He was amazing! His assistant, Kerri was also great. She was determined to put me and my dog at ease. I will be asking to see them for every visit. Leah checked us in and out and she was so sweet. I dreaded this appointment and I was so surprised that I actually enjoyed. I definitely recommend Dr. Hartman and his assistant Kerri.

Frustrated that we could not find Milo’s weight ANYWHERE on the paperwork. It was like scavenger hunt, but we never found it. Overwhelmed with all the papers that were handed to us. We were not sure what pertained to Milo and what was basic information. We found a empty ziploc bag with pyrantel panoate says to give one time? There was no medicine in there… but low and behold we found Milo’s weight on the empty zip lock bag. Just confused. Maybe find a better way to give the information to people about theirs pets that does not leave them wondering??
