Wow, I actually came to Banfield for help about 8 years ago when my dog was dying and I couldn’t get adequate assistance for med refills or any follow up support to provide a comfortable passing at the vet office we had used since he was a puppy. I know they need more space, but my vet is great. You have to evaluate the plans based on need. New puppy who would be spayed within the year; I saved all kinds of money. Have needed the plan for surgical procedures or an older pet in poor health who requires unexpected care. I agree the desk staff can change, but my vet doesn’t push expensive procedures. They do lead with cost information/ estimates so you aren’t shocked if you don’t have insurance. Most people aren’t used to paying out of pocket for medical procedures. The plans are a bit like i
My cat's symptoms of diarrhea were regularly brushed off. They only gave him probiotics and a medication to calm his stomach. They didn't look into why he was having diarrhea. We decided to go elsewhere for a second opinion. That vet said he had IBD that had turned into lymphoma. He also received regular dental cleanings here for years. The new vet asked if he'd ever had his teeth cleaned since there were so many broken teeth and fragments. He passed away, and it breaks my heart since we thought we were giving him good care since we regularly took him to the vet. Do not recommend this place!
One star is generous. I brought my cat in for a routine check-up, expecting a basic level of professionalism. Instead, I was immediately asked about payment plans before anyone even asked why we were there. The staff even had to Google what certain vaccines were for right in front of me, which was not reassuring. After I agreed to what I was comfortable with, my cat was taken away without explanation. Fifteen minutes later, he was brought back, and the staff member pleasantly referred to him as a her. I waited to see if she had just mixed up the words, but she continued on as if it were correct. Getting actual results from the check-up was like pulling teeth — I had to specifically ask about his teeth, weight, breathing, etc., and the tech seemed annoyed that I wanted answers. To top it
Banfield wont let me out of my plan. Because of their service I ended up having to put my cat down at another location. I continued to call to get help for my cat and anytime they had her they would suggest drop off and not doing anything until 5 pm. I stressed on multiple occasions that my cat was backed up and needed something. They never helped with anything for her and even after 300 X-rays they didnt. The vet couldn't even read the X-rays smh. by this point my cat was so sick and weak. During this process the lady at the front desk told me something to purchase to help her go, NOT THE DOCtors, the receptionist!!!! by the time I got her to a new place I ended up with a massive bill and had to put my baby down. IM CANCELING MY CARD! YOU CAN SEND MY ACCOUNT INTO COLLECTIONS. you will st
I'm beyond frustrated with the staff and doctors at this Banfield location. Compassion seems to be completely absent from their vocabulary. The new front desk staff is consistently rude, and their customer service is non-existent. I called for a prescription refill for a drug my pet has been taking for years and even though they said it would be ready the next day, when I arrived to pick it up, it wasn’t ready and the front desk person said there is nothing he can’t do. This kind of disorganization happens too often. They just can't seem to get their staff together. Every time I have an appointment, I get the distinct feeling they're more interested in pushing additional tests or services rather than genuinely caring for my pet's well-being. I had my pet on the wellness program for many y
