5 stars for this wonderful shelter! We found our sweet Charlie here. The team showed amazing professionalism when Charlie needed urgent care after her spay procedure. It's clear they put the animals first. Charlie is a priceless addition to our family and just the cutest girl. Definitely adopt from here!

Such an incredible organization that helps countless animals, many with specific needs. They go above and beyond in the cat program and neonatal nursery. I've been a foster for years and I've been supported with mentors, medical staff and always, the animal receives the best care. Photos of some of my fosters over the years attached:

Seven years ago, my friends and I rescued a kitten from a sewer on the Fourth of July and since I didn’t have pets, I was voluntold I now had a cat. That cat (Mango) later made it very clear she needed a friend. Enter APA… While browsing their site a year and a half ago, I saw Splatoon 4 (now Papaya) and instantly knew she was the one. The adoption process was fast, easy, and affordable; no stress, just joy. Today, Mango and Papaya are inseparable 🐈🐈, glued together like best friends who gossip nonstop. Papaya’s spay process was just as smooth as the adoption. Huge thank you to APA and their incredible foster volunteers for saving lives and making homes (and hearts) so much happier. We’re forever grateful and our cats clearly are too. ❤️

Went to adopt a kitten. Mission accomplished! Be sure to check out their website if you are looking to adopt a pet. They work with a lot.of people to foster animals, so there are a lot more available than the ones at the Town Lake facility. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable and you can tell they care about all of the animals there. The adoption process is simple, the fee is reasonable, and when you find your new fur-baby, you can be sure they aren't sick, they have all of their shots, and they have been spayed or neutered

We adopted a sweet kitty named Gregory from APA! We’ve had him at our house for a few days and he has been the best. The staff is friendly and we are so grateful to have this orange guy with us🧡
