Athens Veterinary Clinic

Great folks, patient with new animals. Each animal is different, ours is very anxious and fearful, and the workers/vet all were diligent working with him for exam and for shots, and all went very well for us. I highly recommend them.

I was nervous to take my kitty, Marceline, to a new vet, but she was having itchiness all over and had developed a rash . We decided to go to the Athens Veterinary Clinic, and Dr. Marshall was amazing. He explained the importance of all the vaccines for cats, found an ear infection (which we got antibiotics for), and was so gentle and kind with my baby. All four staff members I met were so kind and helpful. I seriously cannot recommend Dr. Marshall enough. We finally found a great veterinarian!

Athens vet clinic has super friendly staff and reasonable prices. Dr Aanestad is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain procedures in detail. This clinic has done all of my kitten's vaccinations, as well as her spay surgery, and I am very pleased.

Have always treated my pets right and were very caring and compassionate when my cat passed.

I would like to start this by saying, I am not one to leave unkind reviews without reason. I would also like to say, I have been extremely pleased with the vet techs and desk staff there. They were always amazing, patient, and kind with my dog. My dog is not an easy one— she has shelter trauma and she is very scared of other dogs when she is on a leash, and she is a very very curious dog— she doesn't love unfamiliar noises. Once she knows what's going on & where, she is good. Dr. Aanestead however, appeared annoyed (rolled his eyes) when my dog would bark because she heard other dogs; he would no less than hound me over buying their heartworm medication (I understand they make money from what they sell... that's what they care about) and shamed me for purchasing her flea preventative
