Had to send my little 18 year old Min Pin/Chihuahua mix over the rainbow bridge after what appeared to be a sudden stroke. They got me in quickly, they were compassionate and very kind. I appreciated their services in an emergency they made the transition easier (and let's be honest letting a pet go is never easy, it's horrible) but they made me feel safe in knowing they were the right people to help. I'll miss my doggie very much but happy to have this VET near by for my other pets in the future.

Lackadaisical and apathetic… we felt like an inconvenience. I brought my 9-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd to Atascadero Pet Hospital at 2 a.m. for abdominal pain that had started around 6 p.m. and progressively worsened. I had monitored her for hours, recorded a video of her moaning and writhing, and confirmed abdominal pain on my own exam. SLO Pet Hospital ER was full until 7 a.m., so I called Atascadero and was told there wasn’t much of a wait, though the person on the phone sounded irritated. This Veterinary Practice has helped me on many occasions. Tracking down an herbal supplement saved one dog from seizures. A private room and all the time we needed to say a final goodbye to my elderly dog; with genuine sympathy. Most recently, scans no other local vet could provide, relieved other concerns, while finding the right medication at an affordable price for our newest older dog.

This place has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. Our chihuahua mix has struggled on and off with IVDD for the last year and a half. Dr. Kristin Anderson helped us identify this as the cause for his pain and put us on a treatment plan that got him feeling so much better within days. Took my kitten in to get spayed. They did a really great job and my kitty healed up very nicely. They took good care of her. Thank you so much.
