Archdale Animal Hospital

I have been coming here for several years. They are very friendly clean and they treat your animal like one of theirs. They take pride in doing their job very understanding and a wonderful group of people. A few weeks ago I had to put my dog Zoey down for being sick. They were there for me a shoulder to cry on. A few days ago I had to put my other dog Oscar [ Zoey’s brother) down he became sick from a broken heart. He was never the same when Zoey was gone. They were there for me. Again a wonderful group of people that let me cry on their shoulders. I know it will be a little while when I get another pet but when the time comes I will be coming back to them. Words cannot explain how great full I am to have them treat my animals.

Most upsetting vet experience I’ve ever had. The veterinarian (senior vet) was extremely rude and disrespectful. Instead of showing compassion or professionalism, I was belittled as if I was attempting to get over on them regarding paying prices. The vet even yelled out “Rogue his records” before we walked out the door. During one of the scariest medical situations I’ve had with my cat, they didn’t care at all. Vet visits can already be stressful so being treated this way only made matters worse. Respect and empathy should be the bare minimum. I happily paid my $471.00 (Exam, fluids, meds, & labs) elsewhere, and received better care than I ever had at this place. I would NOT recommend this practice based on such an uncomfortable experience.

Super friendly and informed staff. My puppy has felt comfortable here and the cost of treatment and medication for vaccines and such has been a great value! Definitely planning to keep Archdale as our primary vet.

We feel so lucky to have found Archdale Animal hospital when we did. This family owned and run practice is such a gem in this day and age! We were new to Charlotte at the beginning of the pandemic and finding a vet we could trust for our aging girl was. . . an ordeal. A neighbor recommended the docs at Archdale and we are so grateful! It wasn't a year later that we found a growth that turned out to be cancer. Dr. Barry George did surgery and I believe that got us a whole extra year with her (and most of it out of her cone at that!). Both Dr. Matt and Dr. Barry held our hands every step of the way as we navigated caring for her when things went down hill. I was looking for a new vet to give my 17 year old cat the proper care she needed, since my previous vet stopped caring. The doctors here listened and now she’s thriving again. We have added two kittens and again the service here is top notch! I drive 45 min to get care here.
