Aptos-Capitola Veterinary Hospital

My crusty aging miniature poodle has been a client of Aptos Capitola Veterinary Hospital since 2020. I think we are "Furequent Flyers" at this point– the staff here have nursed Lorraine through tumor removals, teeth extractions, a dog attack, rampant diarrhea, and many, many vaccines. I feel that the care team at Aptos-Cap are kind and also very professional: They have always ensured my dog has access to the highest standard of care but are considerate and non-judgmental when I decline procedures or ask for cheaper alternatives (e.g. declining an echocardiogram and sticking to x-rays and careful monitoring of my dog's heart condition). My two cats and my almost 2 year-old Chihuahua mix are clients. Recently brought my dog in for a problem related to a grooming experience. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment right away same day. Everyone was friendly kind and kept me informed. After being seen by the veterinarian she was so much happier. They found the problem fixed it and also gave her a booster that was due. I highly recommend Aptos-Capitola Vet veterinary.

Recently switched all our dogs here . We have been so happy with the treatment they have all received . Two of our dogs are seniors and one currently diagnosed with Cushings . The doctors working with us with so compassionate and gave us so much information to consider. We already see her improving . The front desk , technicians, to doctors have all been wonderful . So happy to have my dogs under their care .

The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. It’s clear that they actually care about your pets well being and take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable and well looked after. They explained everything clearly and made sure I understood what was going on. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place that truly cares about their pets

They were able to get our sick, dehydrated dog in right away on a weekend! She came home so much better and recovered very quickly after her visit. My husband appreciated that they didn’t try to upsell every test and just did what was necessary. We will be returning!
