On our vacation from Michigan this week, we discovered the sweetest little orange cat seemingly living on the back deck of our VRBO. We contacted the owner of the rental, but they didn't know who she was and it wasn't their cat. We watched over her over several days, but she never left the deck, sleeping on the chairs, figure 8ing our legs, jumping in our laps and purring, getting chin scratches, flopping, allowing us to pet her belly, toes, back, while doing air biscuits, and was way too friendly, clean and sweet to be a feral. She had crusted over scratches on her brow and nose like she had tousled with something before we arrived, and she was absolutely starving. We got her cat food at the Ingles, feeding her twice a day next to the water dish the rental has for guest dogs. We couldn't

We had to drop off two dogs that were not dping well together and had running issues. Wè Re 75 years old and could not keep up with these two medium and 90lb large dogs with high energy. They accepted them and offered training and placement to proper owners when they were ready. I felt good about leaving them there. I was very impressed. It was a hard thing to do but they made me feel confident that We made the right decision.

I have to say since they completely restaffed the place and started remodeling that this place has become such a stellar location to adopt and not shop! They pick up feral as well as accept rehomed pets and all of them look so happy and well taken care of! We got our kitty fixed and vaccinated finally thanks to Miss Angela and the snippet bus! It was honored at the price offered when we first adopted our baby and they were amazing at allowing me to put myself down as the owner instead of my partner (I didn’t have my ID at the time of originally taking him home for the foster program!) she was very delightful and helpful and it made me very happy to see the place in such great condition. So grateful for all AARC did for our Jake ! He wasn't ours then, but we were told that when he was brought in, he was in bad shape and sick. They did all they could, along with a phenomenal vet, to get him better. We fostered him when he was doing better. After a couple weeks, and we knew he would be ok, we had to adopt him. He wouldn't have been here to adopt if AARC didn't step up and go the extra mile to care for him. They treat these beautiful animals with love and care!
