Apex Veterinary Surgery-Memphis

I can't say enough great things about my experience at this clinic. The vet that referred me to Apex was very doom and gloom about my dog's condition, gave me no hope his leg lump was anything but terrible cancer, and said their most experienced vet "thinks he can probably remove the tumor." Didn't exactly inspire confidence. Dr. Maxwell and his staff were super optimistic and funny and put me at ease, and fit his surgery in the same week! And Katie.. thanks for being so sweet with all of us neurotic dog moms. Truly the best veterinary care I have had in 25 years.

Both of my vets said Dr Maxwell was the best specialty surgeon in town and they were right. He and his staff were kind, thoroughly explained everything to me about the procedure and called several times afterwards to check on her. I highly recommend Apex!

Outstanding! Our lab was having major issues with swelling in his face. Our family vet felt they could not help us anymore, so they referred us to APEX. Best decision we ever made! They got us in immediately! They did all the proper tests, sent everything off to be tested, they drained his face for temporary relief while we were waiting on results. During the time we were waiting for the results I knew the pain was affecting him, and I called Katie at night and she immediately sent in for pain medication. Dr. Maxwell personally called us every-time any test results came in. They were in constant communication with us the entire time. The day we decided to have surgery for him, they had no openings for almost two weeks. They could hear the panic in my voice and Katie went above and beyond.

Our 6 year old golden retriever Lizzy injured her ACL and needed TPLO surgery. Our friends recommended Dr Maxwell and he was outstanding throughout the entire process. His staff is absolutely amazing and we highly recommend Dr Maxwell. He will thoroughly explain the surgery and the recovery and will answer any questions you may have (and we had a lot). After 9 weeks, you’d never tell she had the surgery. If your pet needs surgery, this should be your first call.

I'm so happy to see Dr. Maxwell at his own practice. Apex Veterinary Surgery is clean, easy to access, and has the best staff. We've used Dr. Maxwell 3 times for operations on our fur baby. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
