So glad we chose Anvil K9 Dog Training. Jake did an excellent job with our two pups. We sent our 16 wk husky/boxer/pit mix pups to Jake for the 3 week board and train. Important to note is that our pups are litter mates which brings significant additional challenges to the training effort. Jake worked diligently with the boys and gave us great insights on both the methods and importance of combating littermate syndrome. The boys have have been back home now for two weeks and are behaving excellent. Both walk great loose leash around our neighborhood and in the various stores we have visited with them in tow. We are so glad we sent our 5-month old lab puppy to Jake for 3 weeks of board and train! We were a little nervous to part with her, but Jake was very kind, professional, experienced, and clearly loves dogs. While she was in training, we got regular progress updates and when he brought her back home, he spent 1:1 time with us to make sure her training translated to our home environment. She’s still a playful pup, but she listens when we give her a cue and seems much more able to regulate. We’ve had her back home for two months and she’s doing great! We were tired of being stressed and anxious every time we took him out and had to pass another dog. He would bark, growl, and lunge at the other dogs. We had tried to train him on our own since we adopted him, but we had not made too much progress with his reactivity. With a baby on the way, we knew that we needed to get some help.
