Customer Reviews
We adopted a cat from Another Chance four years ago. She was either a stray or feral, healthy but terrified. Staff had lots of information on her stay in a foster home that helped us acclimate her. It was very slow going at home for her to feel moderately safe. Yet she wanted to be petted on her own terms after a month. Today she sleeps or naps with us or on top of us and if I stay up late she demands that I go to bed! She may never be a lap cat we hold each other’s hearts. Staff let us foster to adopt but that may have only been because it was at the height of COVID. PS we adopted her in three days!
The volunteers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable! They know each cat and if they'd be a good fit for your family. Easy to work with and fast adoption process.
Don't recommend adopting from Another Chance Animal Resue We adopted a teeny tiny kitten from them, that seemed too little and that we were not expecting to be ready to come home yet (a litter mate's owner confirmed for me that her vet said they were too little) It all seemed rushed and like they wanted the money and to deny responsibility for an unhealthy animal. They called me out of the blue on a Wednesday and asked me to pick him up that Saturday (June 26th), which was two weeks earlier than expected. I didn't question it at the time because I was so excited about him coming home. When I picked him up, they told me he "might" be sick and to call if anything happens. He started acting sick Monday so I called them first thing Tuesday morning. They didn't seem super concerned and didn't
We we assured that our diabetic cat would be well cared for while we were away. Came home to a message from a vet that our cat was in an emergency situation. They didn’t take good care of him at all. His levels of glucose fell so low he nearly died. He was regulated and in great health when we left him in their care. For someone who has 3 diabetic cats if her own Mary should’ve known that our cat wasn’t eating properly and that would affect his levels. The bag of food I left with her was barely given to him in 7 days.
We got a kitten a few months ago and we have spent over $1000 on vet bills. The kitten had a respiratory infection, ear infection, and intestinal parasites. Not to mention the woman who we dealt with was unbelievably rude and she actually yelled at my husband when he was asking where to park. We usually get our pets from reputable rescues, but our kids fell in love with this kitten at the pet store during an adoption event and we decided to purchase her. This poor kitten has been in terrible health and we are trying to nurse her back to health. This “rescue” should be shut down.
