Dr Allen is truly to most caring and friendly vet around. Her staff is fantastic as well. Going to the vet is never fun for anyone, but she does her best to make both you and your furry family feel at ease. She’ll do everything on the floor with your pup if your pup is too nervous to be on the table. That’s just one of the many things she does. We’ve been going to her for years and honestly can’t imagine going any where else. Even after we moved about an hour away we still go back to her.

Dr. Allen and David at Annotto Bay Veterinarian are the absolute best! She is a truly wonderful vet who takes the time to thoroughly understand any issue and makes sure I leave each visit feeling educated and confident about how to best care for my pet. I’ve been bringing my pets to her for the past eight years, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. If you’re looking for a veterinarian who genuinely cares about both you and your pet—and who empowers you to be the best pet parent you can be—look no further. I’m a customer for life!

Dr. Allen is the best. Our dog has been under her exceptional care for about 10 years now. She’s helped us through heart worm treatment, horrible allergies, chronic respiratory/sinus issues and lots of dentals. Dr. Allen has a very good approach to solving issues and is not an alarmist - she tries to do the least invasive and disruptive routes first, which I so appreciate. Additionally, she is a kind, warm and compassionate person who truly cares about the well-being of our dog. We couldn’t be happier and I shouldn’t have waited 10 years to write a review!

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Allen for over 5 years and I'm so glad we found her and her staff. I have a very difficult dog with stranger danger and a cat who is just rude and Dr. Allen and the staff at Annotto Bay have worked with me to create plans to examine and provide treatment for my pets without being invasive or causing them extra stress. I trust her to give me the options and help me choose the right path with every medical decision. I'd give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

We really wanted to love this place. My small dog ( 25 pounds ) gets extremely scared when it comes to nail trims. When I got to know that they do nail trims outside and I get to hold my dog while a nail trim was great I was all for it. Fast forward, while they were really cool and nice, this is the result of one of the nails that was cut. My dog yelped while the back nails were getting cut, and I stopped the service right then and there. Because all the nails weren’t trimmed, I was charged accordingly which was nice, but I’d have rather paid more and have my dog not hurt. The place has amazing reviews, I’m not sure how they are with everything else but Hazel definitely ended up hurt.
