They make it very easy to adopt. You can fill out the application online & pre qualify in 20 minutes. I went there 4 days ago. When I was there one cat from across the room started to meow very loud while putting his face against the cage. I looked at all the cats & he was the only one to call out to me. His name is Jack, he'll be 4 in April. He is extremely friendly. I'm living with my best friend, his wife & son. When around them he follows them around meowing for attention. He likes to sleep on my bed during the day. At night he sleeps next to me. If you want a loving pet, go to the Animal Welfare League. The adoption fees are good. Their pets are microchipped, up to date on shots, or they'll give a list of Vets. After the adoption is complete, they'll take your picture with your new p

I saw this beautiful little girl on petfinder on a Thursday night and applied for adoption right away, but when I went to see her first thing the next morning, she was already adopted. My heart was broken but I know i will find my baby girl soon. On a positive note the facility was clean, all dogs looked confortable, everyone there was nice, specifically Anna. Thank you and I hope to be approved soon so i can adopt

In October 2025 a stray cat who was not fixed showed up in my backyard trying to be a suitor to my cat. My cat is a solo rider (also from AWL), so could not take him in. Over the course of 5 days I got the cat to trust me enough with ample love and food to get captured. He was such a sweetheart and I knew he just needed a good home. On day 5 I followed the protocol of Animal Control ---> Animal Welfare League. I followed their adoption page and photos for updates. I was so happy to see that in less than two weeks he was named Dumbledore, was taken care of, fixed, and adopted out. I love when systems to give care to animals work well and love what AWL does for the community.

We adopted one year old American staffordshire terrier named Jenny. She came with most of her shots and already spaded. Included one free veterinarian visit. They made it very easy to adopt. Nobody pressured us and they just let things happen organically. Plus the free goody bag slash starter kit was nice. Good people here. This place would be my first recommendation If you're looking to adopt.

I couldn’t be more happy with my new baby girl! The adoption specialists are pretty good at figuring out the right fit for you. We were given plenty of time for our new addition to meet and bond with the family and other dog. The place is so clean and the animals very well cared for. The grounds are very nice with multiple play (greet) areas. Nice walking area for the volunteers to tend to the animals awaiting adoption.
