Animal Smart Training

I adopted the cutest little girl, Stevie, with a lot of trauma. She was scared of EVERYTHING- people, the sliding door, trash can, oven, dogs, any new noise…. She was scared of life. We have been training with Joree for a little over a year and Stevie has been learning how to love life!! She has made friends with other dogs (especially Perci, Joree’s dog) and loves to meet new people. As a matter of fact, she actually gets upset when people don’t want to say hi to her! We still have a way to go before Stevie is completely comfortable. But when I tell you that Animal Smart Training is awesome, you better believe it. We purchased a new puppy who was so full of energy, we needed HELP!! We contacted Animal Smart Training from their website, and immediately was contacted by Joree. Joree was a Lifesaver! Upon our first meeting, we knew that she had a great connection with our little Paco. She is very experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and easy to relate to. Not only did she teach Paco, but taught us the skills to be effective parents with his training. Animal Smart Training methods will last a lifetime. We truly believe that we made the right decision, and are very happy with our investment. Two dogs. Two paths. One journey. In early 2021, we took on two Australian Shepherd foster dogs, Remington and Loki. We foster-failed, in other words, we adopted them, a story unto itself. Both had reactivity issues. Remington became reactive to almost everything, but especially dogs: on the road, in houses, in backyards…everywhere. And golf carts, bicycles, loud trucks….I would take him for long walks in an effort to tire him out—and I ended up equally tired out. His manners going in and out of the garage and doors were non-existent. Loki was reactive to other dogs, but to a lesser degree than Remington.
