Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center

Several months after the unexpected and tragic loss of our first family cat, we visited many rescues in St. Louis and the surrounding suburbs, searching for the right cat for our family. We went into the process with very tender hearts, and wanted to take our time finding the right organization and cat. As soon as I walked into Animal House Cat Rescue, I knew this was the place where we would find our new family member—if not that day, then eventually. The adoption coordinator greeted me at the door, explained the visit guidelines, and walked with me through the different areas. She knew the cats so well that she was able to direct me toward ones that might be a good fit. After I shared just a little context about our needs, she immediately took me to a little female cat named Amber Glen

We found Animal House when searching for two cats a few weeks ago. They know their cats and kittens well, and they do a great job with helping find you find a good fit for your family. They also do a great job of protecting the cats from spreading possible illnesses, and they make sure visitors follow proper protocol. We loved them so much that we are planning to volunteer. We're so happy we found them and our new kitties!

Awhile back, there was a cat that had been abandoned on my busy street. Terrified that he would be hit by a car and seeing how he needed help, I took him in and reached out to at least 20 different rescue groups. I was either ignored, or told they couldn't/wouldn't take him. Animal House Cat Rescue was the first and only group to talk to me and take the sweet kitty in. *I lovingly named him 'Big Guy'* ❤️ Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center is hands down the BEST cat rescue I have ever seen. This place is spotless! I seriously don't know how they do it. VERY nice people that clearly adore the cats they care for. I highly recommend this group for anyone who is looking to adopt a kitty - To Animal House Cat Rescue, thank you so much for taking 'Big Guy' in and caring for him ❤️

Great place for adoption. They take the time to educate people on the process of adoption. I adopted Obi a very sweet and lively ginger cat to bring to his forever home with me and panther like cat Dante. My heart is so full 💓 with the love of these 2 furry family members. Truly a great experience.
