Animal Hospital South

I have been a customer for 2 years, but I plan on heading somewhere else. My dog's first vet visit was at Animal Hospital East and we loved it. I believe the doctor who treated my dog was Dr. Wilson. Anyways, after Helene, I was forced to visit their South location. I wasn't too impressed by Dr. Heron, but I decided to trust her because of our previous experience with their East location. I wasn't impressed because it felt a bit rushed. I don't want nor intend to label Dr. Heron as incompetent or a bad doctor, but I do want to point out that I no longer trust her way of checking my dog: I went in because my dog was licking surfaces excessively, which made me think she's trying to alleviate her own pain or stress. I switched from Laurel Park Animal Hospital, because Dr. Herron left there and went to AHS. I wanted my dog to continue with, since she is the only Vet he has seen since he was a puppy. She’s always been honest and caring. What impressed me about her when we first met 4 yrs ago was that she got down on the floor with Nikki.

Dr. Welsh was our vet Dr. She was concerned and ask so many questions. She was thorough and the techs were sweet n caring to my westies. I was very satisfied with the service. Definitely will keep them as our new Veterinarian office.

Can't say enough about how amazing of an experience we have had at AHS. From regular checkups to semi-emergencies, the staff and vets here have always taken care of our pets. They examined both of my cats at the same time which helped the cats feel more comfortable. Normally they are very petrified of people, but let Dr. Kuhn hold and examine them without biting, hissing or scratching. (definitely a win!).

We went to the hospital because we found a kitten curled up in our car engine whose tail had been chopped off and was in really bad shape. The kitty had fleas, tics, a really bad case of ring worm and was underweight, and we don't have any pets so we didn't even know how to begin taking care of it. We have been seeing one of the new doctors, Dr. Yale. I just had to write a review about our experience because he has been extraordinary with us. Not only is he an extremely generous and kind person, as a vet he is patient, professional, and he goes the extra mile for his patients.
