Dr Annie Lau is the best of the BEST! Very thoughtful , knowledgeable and thorough. She doesn’t do extra tests and procedures and things they don’t need. My dogs absolutely LOVE her and usually dogs are scared of going to the doctors so that says ALOT! I drive a long way to go to her but it is worth it! Been going to her for about 9 years and my dogs have never been healthier or happier! Thank you!

The Animal Hospital of Irvine provides exceptional care because Dr. Lee treated my anxious beagle with great attention and the staff members learned his name during our first visit before our second appointment. The staff at the hospital created a comfortable atmosphere which made what could have been a difficult experience into a positive one.

If this place comes back with a large bill for you I highly recommend seeking another opinion. Brought our English bulldog in last year for an ear infection which they did treat so extra star for that. Low rating because they told us he needed to be on an allergy shot monthly ($150/mo) for the rest of his life and then they also told us his eyelid was inverted so he needed surgery and other medications. Luckily we went to another vet for second options. Changing his food is all he needed for the allergy symptoms and then his eyelids are not inverted. He had an ulcer and now it’s been a year, no issue. Our other vet confirmed that his eyes are fine.

Grew up with dogs, my entire life and have met my share of vets. I have to say, Dr Lai definitely made an impression when I took my senior kitty in. Dr. Annie Lai was amazing and showed a lot of concern to my 17 year old senior kitty. She gently explained how abnormal my cat’s urination was, because I’ve never owned a cat before, and (thanks to the litter robot) Dr Lai was able to explain that cats do not usually use the litter box as often as my cat needed to. She explained all of the procedures I could do, then suggested what I should do first, which was bloodwork; results showed hyperthyroidism and now my cat is on medication. I do see some improvement and I will definitely be back to see Dr Lai—I have found my new vet! Also, this pet hospital smells nice, or maybe they have separate
