This is our second time seeing Dr Tran. The first time, nothing but positive reviews from us, he was quick, got our dog into surgery and we were on our way within 5 hours. However over the weekend I took my 16 week old puppy in and it was a bit different. I told Dr Tran I think he had a blockage, and after exam, he agreed. Never once did he say lets do surgery to get it out until we left. While I respect that he tried everything before surgery on such a young dog, ultimately him not doing the surgery cost our Smore to pass away. Maybe I should of pushed it, but lets be honest that the odds of a very sick 16 week old puppy making a full recovery from all of his organs being cut open and cleaned is very risky and Dr Tran felt confident that he could pass it at home. Our experience here was awful. The facility was dirty. Most of the medicine and bottles you saw just laying around were in browned, aged, dirty, unmarked bottles. We took our dog in because he had eaten a corn cob and was at risk of having a blockage due to this. The doctor was very unfriendly. He had us hold our terrified dog down on the table for 20+ minutes while he held his head over a trash can and put medicine from an unmarked bottle in his eyes. He explained nothing to us. His receptionist is the one who was trying to give us medical advice and talk to us as this was happening. Dr. Tran tried to give our dog a second dose of medicine in his eyes and got very mad at us when we started asking questions. This doctor makes his own medicine but doesn't market it as such. Gives wrong dosages. My animal's vet said the steroid shot my 10 lb cat got was enough for a 50 lb dog. No fluids were given for dehydration. No urinalysis for suspected bladder infection. No tech to hold down for drawing blood or shaving of fur. Tried to force a sedation when I didnt understand what he was wanting me to do, which was hold my own animal down, and I refused the sedation. I would have gladly held him down in the beginning if instructions were clear. I also thought he was going to cut off my cats nipple when shaving his abdomen for what I now know is a crock of handmade meds that don't do anything. Dr. saved our border collie which was misdiagnosed from another popular emergency vet hospital. He charged 1/3 of what the other place quoted to do surgery. Did the surgery that night and we were able to take our dog home the next morning. The other place wanted to wait 2 days for a second vet opinion and board him there the whole time. Our dog Hunter made a mistake 100% recovery with no complications and no guilt tactics like other places. The doctor and his tech are awesome and I will always go here first if another emergency should ever occur

I can’t thank the team at this emergency vet clinic enough. From the moment we walked in, they treated my pet with compassion and urgency. The staff explained everything clearly, gave me options, and made sure I felt supported through such a stressful time. They were gentle, professional, and truly went above and beyond for both my pet and me. I left feeling grateful knowing my furry family member was in the best hands possible.
