Animal Clinic South

I’m a chronic clinic hopper (just based on services and proximity) but ACS has been home base for years. They have always been accommodating, professional, friendly, and reasonably priced. Even better, they practice good medicine and communicate clearly and honestly, something very important to me as a retired vet tech myself. I’ll continue to recommend them to anyone needing quality, consistent care for their pet!

Yesterday was a day that I had been dreading for a very long time. My cat, Pharoah, who I had had since I was 8 years old(I’m 24 now) suddenly got sick. That morning it took everything in me to admit that it was time. It was time to help him on his way and to put his suffering to an end. If anyone led me to this clinic it was God, there were closer vets but this one stood out to me. All of the staff and the Veterinarian were empathetic and did all they could to make a very difficult process as easy as it could be. He acknowledged that any treatment would be temporary and as soon as he said that I realized, he isn’t in it for the money he’s in it for the love and compassion he has for animals. This will be my primary vet from here on out and I’d recommend to be yours too.

I was told very quickly they are not accepting new clients. I was really hoping to get a vet closer to south county because I have been taking my dog for 5 years to Cottleville.

Our first visit confirmed to me (and my dog, Gracie) that this was the place for us! From a very warm and enthusiastic front staff to a Doctor who was willing to spend time with us, explaining options and alternatives. Not to mention the new, bright and clean office. We found our new vet in South County!

I used to be a customer but stopped going because the people at the desk were so rude. Today, I thought I'd give them another chance. Nope. The young lady in the phone was rude and obnoxious. They also charge for things other vets provide for free like prescription lookups.
