Amity Valley Kennels

Called about purchasing a poodle puppy for a family member. This woman was incredibly rude and gave false information. While on the phone she was grooming and a dog licked the scissors and was bleeding. She said "well what are you going to do"... Would 100% not recommend.

We have brought our dog here four times. He seemed happy when he came home, but came home with Diarrhea every time. I will never bring him there again. The customer service is horrible, I am told that he needs to have Bordatella (for kennel cough) every 6 months, but the vets wont even give it but what is recommended, which is once every 12 months. I also just found out by someone who was friends with the owner that she wouldn't even bring her dog there because they are kept in crates and not cared for. I will be notifying the proper outlet to go in and look into this kennel. I would not recommend bringing your animals here.

I have had 4 different dogs both groomed and boarded there over the past 25 years, plus 2 cats that I had boarded there for an extended stay a year and a half ago, and I have NEVER had any issues or problems with either the owner or her staff! My dogs all loved being there and loved Anne (the owner). My current dog is a 3 year old miniature poodle which was one of her dogs. I brought him home at 9 weeks and he still loves going for a visit with "grandma". My cats did very well there and in fact were played with by all of the staff! She is very knowledgeable, and is all about the dogs/cats in her care. She would never do anything that would harm any animal!! I don't know what I'll do when she decides to retire, because I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I've been boarding my dogs at Amity Valley Kennels for many years and have usually had more than one dog. My dogs like going there and come home happy. I have had dogs of all ages boarded there and some have needed medications. They know how to approach each situation. The breeds I've owned that need grooming have all been groomed at Amity. I have been very happy with the results. You can observe your dog through the observation window. I like you can see what is going on through the observation Windows and like that strangers aren't near my dogs. Give Amity a try. I think your pet will be happy to be there.

Bought two miniature poodles from her. One is now 10...the other is six. No health issues with either. Anne is an extremely ethical breeder...only high quality puppies from this kennel. Amazing groomer.
