We just met with Dr. McGarvey today, for our Sam's annual physical. She has been our vet for years and I honestly couldn't recommend her more. Dr. McGarvey was very present and there for us during the last years of our dog's life when he was struggling with a degenerative disease. She helped us plan, improve his quality of life and ultimately keep him here, healthy, for longer. She went above and beyond for him, for us, especially in that last year and cried with us when he passed. We will never trust a vet more than we trust her. She truly cares and it shows in everything she does. Our dog loves her and she is so completely sweet with her. If you need a vet, all of the vets at Aloha are great but I cannot recommend Dr. McGarvey enough.

Aloha Dog and Cat is our primary care vet for two German Shepards and two cats. The staff here has never been anything less than respectful and professional. They're prices are extremely reasonable especially in this day and age which is appreciated. The staff is knowledgeable, has never steered us wrong or misdiagnosed/mistreated our pets and the vets are always willing to chat and answer questions if something comes up. We've had a handful of unfortunate circumstances with our pets and they've helped with referrals to specialists amd/or top notch follow up care. Thanks to Tanasbourne Vet Emergency and this office, they're all still with us and doing well. I always recommend Aloha Dog and Cat to my friends or anyone looking for a new veterinary office. Keep up the great work folks. Maeve

We've been going to Aloha Dog & Cat for several years. The staff are great and we had no issues getting normal immunizations or annual wellness visits. When our dog had a more serious issue, we found there are no immediate or rare day-of openings. Our dog had an ear infection that progressed to be quite serious We saw Aloha Dog & Cat for the initial ear infection diagnoses, no swab was taken and the infection came back during the treatment period of 33 days. They also put a muzzle on her which caused some bleeding on her snout. They did not acknowledge this when they returned her to us. When I tried calling for an earlier opening once we found her infection was back, I felt like they dismissed the concern and only offered an appointment almost a week later. We ended up finding another vet

Our sweet cat experienced a scary seizure at 4:30am this week. We called Aloha Cat & Dog immediately and easily got the number for urgent care from their voicemail. Urgent Care was full, but said we it probably wasn’t urgent-urgent and we could wait for our vet to open. We left a 5am message with Aloha Cat & Dog and right at 8am when they opened we got a call back to bring our cat in as soon as we could. They were so very empathetic and compassionate, yet very professional over the phone, asking carefully for a play-by-play of what we saw, and expressing their concern and empathy about the situation. We felt heard, understood and taken care of. They didn’t have any open appointments that day but would try to see him between visits. This made us nervous since he’s an anxious kitty and vet

I told them to not apply a medicine to my pets twice, but they still did it. It didn’t cause any problems, but could have if I was not ready financially or otherwise. I was asked if I would like a topical solution applied to my pets. I initial said yes, but decided against it after hearing the price. After they took one pet to the back for another approved shot, they also applied the topical solution. After questioning them, they asked if I would like the topical solution applied to my other pet. I said no. They then took my pet back for the approved shot, and also applied the solution. This instance is not a problem for me (I have the financial means, and the price was roughly what I would pay otherwise), but is frustrating. If this happened to someone not in a position to pay, or not w
