This animal hospital was a great experience from beginning to end…..I chose Dr. Athey as my pets vet doctor as he was new and accepting new clients. I can’t express how informative he was and how he took his time explaining everything my pet Xena needed. He took care of an ear infection and also done the soaring for me all in one session. My pet was taken care of very well by him and his assistance during surgery. The staff that checks you in were all very friendly and made me feel comfortable leaving my family pet there with them. If you’re looking for a great veterinarian, this place was awesome to be at. Ask for Dr, Athey, he was awesome.

Could not ask for a better experience. After being with a vet that we loved who was pushed out of her practice for years we have struggled to find a vet we liked and could trust. Akron-Medina Vet exceeded our expectations from reception to the doctor, everything was well communicated and will be where we take our two Doodles to from now on.

We have been going to see Dr. Hicks for the last 11 years. Sadly we had to put down our almost 16-year-old beloved cat Duchess last week. We appreciate the compassion we were shown, and knowing that all was done that could have been done. Caring employees.

Doc Hicks has been our Vet for 20 plus years for many Scotties we've owned and bred. He's straight up the best I've ever worked with in 45 years of owning and breeding dogs and his staff is always patient and kind with our dogs.. and me haha 😀 5 star recommend!!
