Advanced Veterinary Medical Imaging

The team in this veterinary office not only was very careful with my baby girl, but they were caring, understanding and affordable beyond belief. They were able to see me same day and the MRI was a fraction of the price from another clinic down the street. They gave me tue MRI scans the same day and returned my baby girl safe and sound. :) I recommend this veterinary office if you need any imaging scans to help your Pet have a better life .

Everything went fine until my cat got spicy during her treatment. That's not normal for her; she's friendly and relatively easy to treat. At the same time, the clinic stopped communicating with me. It started with losing access to the cat cam and an email that she'd been treated (they said they would call with an update). It said my cat had been moved to alternative housing (without camera access) due to her personality. This was confusing not only as it didn't sound like my cat, but also as AVMI had never informed me of this option. I called a few times that afternoon trying to get more info about what had happened, how the treatment had gone, and how my cat was doing-and was met with either evasive or dismissive responses, which was worrisome. Professional, courteous, and compassionate. They was super friendly and sweet and gave us good advice to take the early morning appointment so that our doggie can go home eat afterwards. If we had chosen the afternoon appointment, our doggie would have to wait all day (the starving-stare.) They were recommended by my WestLA clinic. It was a long drive from Santa Monica to this center. Then we had to plan 4 hours to kill till our doggie was ready to be released from full anesthesia. This was the biggest inconvenience but that's not the center's fault. But my point is that we were willing to drive far to get seek of the best veterinary imaging specialists. Our Trupanion insurance plan paid for 90% of the procedure, less the deductible. Thank God.

I was told to place a deposit and call back to schedule, but was not told that ONLY two specific dates could be booked. After paying a $400 deposit, I called back and was told future dates could not be scheduled and that I would need to keep calling, with no guarantee of a callback. Since there was no clear way to secure an appointment, I requested a refund. I was then told I would lose 10% of the deposit, even though I canceled within minutes and before any appointment was scheduled. I disagree with this practice and am very disappointed in the experience and would not recommend.

I was referred to Advanced Veterinary Imaging from my vet and I would make the same recommendation to any pet owner needing help Dr Broome is SUPER knowledgeable and helpful and is great at clearly and simplistically giving you an overview of what is going to take place before and after any imaging happens. He and his front staff are able to provide you reassurance that your pet will be well taken care of before, during and after They really do care here for your pet vs just looking to collect the $$$
