Adopt A Stray

My experience with Adopt a stray was fantastic! I adopted a kitten and he is happy and healthy and the people at Adopt a stray care deeply about where their rescues go to. They ask for information about where you live and if there are other pets in home. I would adopt another rescue from them any day! They are awesome and doing the work of angels.

Very disappointing! My wife and I went into PetSmart to buy food for our adopted cat and dog and came across Adopt-A-Stray. We fell in love with a kitten and filled out the application. We were contacted by Cindy and asked various questions about feeding, different types of litter, where I lived, etc... the question made me feel a little uncomfortable After the conversation, we were told that they will contact us within 48hrs. They asked us what type of litter I was planning on using and type of food. Cindy and her staff probably had a problem with the choices of food and litter we chose for our adopted cat. Our cat is very healthy and they are well aware because we even provided medical records for the dog and cat that we currenlty own, we even have a health plan for both pets. MY cat and

I adopted 3 of my cats from Adopt-A-Stray. They’re the best. Love that the cats come first for this organization. They know their cats so well you can tell them the temperament of cat you want, and they match you with the perfect kitty. For the people giving scathing reviews, this organization has been around over 20 years with Cindy at the helm. I volunteered there when it was getting off the ground and can attest to the high standards they have for adopters. Good for Adopt-A-Stray and even better for the kitties. I adopted 2 cats at Pet Smart 7 years ago. CINDY was the woman I dealt with. 3 weeks ago we lost one of our beloved cats to lymphoma. I went out of my way to contact CINDY to inquire about adopting another cat, only because my surviving cat is definitely missing her companion. To say the two of them “tolerated” one another would be the farthest thing from the truth, these cats BONDED like nothing I’ve ever seen, and I’ve had cats all of my life. Fast forward when I spoke to CINDY she said sounds like ZsaZsa (my little surviving cat) needs a companion. With that being said she went on to tell me she has a kitten she thought would be a great fit. She sent me pictures I was very interested. I adopted a cat from Cindy years ago. It's nice to see her standards haven't wavered. 1) HER cats should NEVER be outside cats. There are a ton of predators here! 2) she is very strict because of the amount of time, money and resources she puts in. She has been in rescue a long time and has discretion and places these cats ONLY in the BEST homes!!!
