We adopted two dogs from the Lynchburg Humane society about a year ago. They came from a hoarder home. We decided to take the younger of the two to doggie training as he was the one who was afraid of everything and everyone. We attended a free class that Laura did and really enjoyed it. A lot of useful information was given to us. We decided to enroll Max in Absolute Angel Dog training. Max does not travel well in the car so when we got there we had to let Max "decompress" before Laura could work with him. At first I thought it was hopeless but Laura encouraged me and Max. Little by little Max made baby steps. We are still working with Max at home and making baby steps. Max is doing so much better and we are so thankful that Laura helped Max and gave us a lot of information to continue to

We chose Absolute Angel due to our vet recommending, when we first got our golden retriever puppy, Kaia. We chose the Superior Canine Elite program due to my husband and I working full time, and we knew that getting the most basic training required would need to be intensive. We knew we would not likely carry the initial training over to the degree that Laura would on a full time/all day basis so we went for it! It was absolutely worth the money. We realize we are very fortunate, and not everyone can afford to do this, but I promise it is worth it. Laura took a sweet little puppy born on a farm who had zero training, and transformed her into a sweet little puppy with manners and awareness of structure! Laura was excellent with my reactive Chihuahua. He had recently had more severe behaviors and she gave us what we needed to manage them because he was pretty set in his ways at 11 years old. I'm a librarian and I appreciated the materials she had and shared. :D

We are so thankful we found Absolute Angel Dog Training. It was a plus that Laura was located just 10 minutes away from our home. We met with her and received information about the various levels of training & finally decided on the Angel (accelerated) Program. Ginny is a 10 pound Yorkshire Terrier who is hyper when other people or dogs come into her view or visit at the house. She would bark, whine, jump; do anything to get their attention. We also like to travel and knew that Ginny needed to understand the basics like sit, down, wait, walk without pulling when on the leash or we would have a hard time finding someone to watch her. I’ve always known Ellie is a good dog but now I have the papers to prove it ;) All joking aside. Laura from Absolute Angel is an excellent resource for the community. Her demeanor and approach to training is compassionate and flexible. She is happy to brainstorm and adjust depending on how the dog performs between sessions. She prepares clients to be active and knowledgeable dog owners. Her lessons are not just about teaching the dog better habits and skills but about teaching the humans to communicate more effectively. I would recommend Laura for people who need help teaching their dog manners both in the home and outside.
