Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter

Adopted this adorable little boy (Kringle) from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter Dec. 6, and was able to bring him home Dec. 8. He has filled our home with laughter, love, and so much more. The staff made it easy and enjoyable to adopt him, and made sure we knew what to expect.

They have moved to Jellison right and are up and running helping people and pets. This is a great place with great staff

I've had mixed experiences with YVAS, but all in all they have been super helpful and accommodating for our family. Like any business, we've had some wins, and we've had some losses but I believe in their mission and their treatment of the animals they care for. We got our babe, Devo (formerly CoolWhip), a couple months ago and she has been the missing piece to our family. She brings so much goofy, positivity to our home and we are so grateful for her. We're currently looking for a friend for her, so will definitely be back soon to welcome another waiting pup into our home. Thank you, YVAS, for serving these animals and our community. One of the most sketchily ran shelters I have ever interacted with in my entire life. We tried to schedule a surrender for today, the 8th. We were not given a time. Just a date. So we showed up after work to do the surrender. Upon arrival staff claimed they “called and left a voicemail” with us to confirm the appointment today and could prove it. I asked the lady behind the counter to do that because neither of us has a missed call or voicemail from the shelter and she immediately changes the subject. I know you have room. You just did a waived adoption fee weekend. You’re just using this as an excuse to not take him, trying to cover for yourselves claiming you called.
