Wonderful doctor and staff! My wife’s pets and our current dog have been coming here for over 30 years. Her dogs have lived happy, healthy, and long lives—17, 18, and even 19 years old. Highly recommend this vet.

The STAFF WAS WONDERFUL! All I have to say is my faith in Veterinarians has plummeted to an all time low lately. I took my small 15 lb. dog to this clinic since my veterinarian was recently acquired by a Private Equity company and I will never support these vultures. Dr Yao wasn't there so another veterinarian saw my dog. The vet said it was her ACL-Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear. We didn't do x-rays since they don't do orthopedic surgery there and wherever I would take her they would want to do their own. There was no talk about physical therapy or any other treatment OTHER THAN SURGERY. $4000 SURGERY! So I took her to one of the surgeons they recommended who spent a whole 5 minutes with me saying the same exact thing; ACL

I started going to Dr. Yao when I moved to Miami Shores in March. One of my 2 cats is almost 16 & has monthly shots for arthritis. While Dr. Yao and many of the people in the office have been great, I was shocked today when a technician brought me a muzzle and instructed me to put it on my cat myself before she'd take her back for her shot. I'm not naive....I know she's a cat and has quirks. But I have personally witnessed her have her blood drawn and get shots (including by Dr Yao) with no issues. I've never had any vet or technician say they've had a problem with her & have usually heard the opposite....that she is well-behaved. As someone who has brought all of her pets, family pets and even neighbors we've referred it is unbelievable to me how awful Marisol , in the front desk treated my mother. I have been taking my dog since he was 4 months here and I have always felt at ease with Dr.Yao he is calming, attentive and professional. It must be news to him to hear Ms Marisol in the front desk was so rude, and disrespectful. The other day my mother walks into Yao looking for a flea pill for our dog who was very itchy and we just had to take care of that immediately , Marisol asked me to wait for about 40 min. I am fine with waiting but after 40 min she then realized " oh no I forgot you were there " she said there was tons of emergencies before me. I got referred by one of my neighbors and i’m glad I did. Dr. Yao’s clinic feels like a neighborhood vet vs the big corporate conglomerates. The front desk was nice and my appointment was easy to make and on time. The doctor didn’t push unnecessary treatments and I felt very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!
