I visited Woodlawn Pets & More on Saturday around 5pm (they close at 6:30pm). I live about 30 minutes away and only made one stop on my way home to pick up substrate for my new tank. By the time I got home, just before 7pm, the koi and goldfish I had purchased were already dead in the bag. The store was closed at that point, so I wasn’t able to contact them until the next day. When I called to explain what happened, the owner was adamant that all sales were final and refused to refund or replace the fish since they were live animals. While I understand that policy, most reputable pet stores make it right when livestock doesn’t survive even the ride home—especially when it’s less than an hour away. The store itself smelled bad and was not very clean, but we gave them the benefit of the do

Not a clean store. They do not keep the aquarium’s clean. The rodent cages were disgusting. I came for super-worms for my leopard gecko, and he wouldn’t even eat them.

Apparently this store used to be a community gem but alas, it is no longer. We were in and out in less than a minute. There is only fish here, no other animals. All of the tanks were filthy. The whole place looked and smelled gross. The staff member didn't even speak when we came in, despite there being no one else in the store. Waste of time.

I don't know how this place is open. Dead fish in tanks. Lots of used crap that should go to the dump. Smells horrible. I won't even touch my dog or fish tank when I get home until I've showered. On the plus side, if you're going to buy a live animal here, you can get a headstone right next door for when you have to bury its body tomorrow

SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!! This is an ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING place! This place needs to be SHUT DOWN, ASAP! It's dirty, it smells, the fish look sick, the tanks are gross! in the back they have a ton of rats in one tank. There are 2 cute and friendly, cats running around, that should be placed in a better environment. Very slim cats, they seem about a year old. The cats live inside the pet store one is visibly dirty and when I pet it, I felt bumps on his/her skin and the other cat had a wound on it's back! I'm not sure why this place isn't shut down, but the lack of CARE for animals and a cleanliness to run a proper business establishment is LACKING! Please do NOT support! This place needs to be REPORTED and SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
