I want to thank Julia and the other shelter employees for helping with the search for my dog Lilly, who was missing for over a week. They were patient with my calls and I even met them driving around looking for her. Thank you for your help and kindness. Lilly is home!

We got another cat there and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff is great. The fee for the cat was $100 and the cat had been spade and inoculated. Consider it can cost a $1000 to get a cat spade these days that was a real bargain.

Found a soaking wet, tiny kitten that had been stuck in the rain outside for hours, alone. Called animal control and was advised by a woman to bottle feed and bring the kitten in when they opened. Doing what we were told, we arrived and were immediately accosted by a male employee who told us that we never should have touched the kitten and bringing it in was signing its death certificate. He was extremely nasty. We were not even remotely rude when we came in, just worried about the kitten. They were the ones who told us to bring the kitten in. I tried explaining that and he just interrupted and became nastier then walked away in a huff. The other employees were much much warmer and kinder. I cannot say enough about the staff here at Woodbridge Animal Shelter. I had been recommended by a friend as our local shelter has been going through some growing pains, and we were looking to adopt 2 cats. I spoke with Austin on the phone, then met him when we arrived. He introduced us to one of the volunteers who took us to see the cats. She let us take our time, she asked engaging questions and she made us feel comfortable as we found two new members of our family. While Austin was checking our references and finalizing the paperwork he shared a story of an abused pit bull whose owner had nearly starved him to death. We saw the photo of what the dog looked like when they removed him from his owner. It was heartbreaking to think that people could do this to an animal. The staff he
