I’m beyond grateful for Kirsten and Mike for taking such incredible care of my two Corgis (soon to be three once my puppy’s old enough)! If you’re in the Auburn or Grass Valley area and want a place that genuinely loves your dogs, Wolf Road Pet Retreat is it. I’ve tried Wag and other corporate-style options before — nothing compares. The care here is personal, consistent, and full of heart. My dogs always come home happy, tired, and content. My older Corgi used to struggle socially, and at other daycares he’d pick up bad habits. Since joining Wolf Road, he’s become balanced, confident, and thriving. My younger Corgi’s confidence grows every week too. You can feel the difference — this place is built on genuine passion and experience.

I cannot give Wolf Road Pet Retreat enough stars, ⭐️ they are so good to my Sadie girl-she’s so excited when I say she’s “going to friends house”, it’s truly her second home! They take the time to send me photos/videos of my pup and that means so much to know she’s having a great time! Thank you for caring and loving my dog like we do!!! 💕💕😘💕💕

Kirsten provides a home away from home for our dog and he is happy and well- loved when he stays there. Kirsten provides updates and photos when Elroy is in her care putting our minds at ease.

Kirsten is a dog whisperer. I was at my wit's inn with my Belgian malinois. She could escape any kennel. Kirsten took her on and now I'm able to travel when I need to. She sends me pictures of Nala to help with my separation anxiety as well. This is definitely a go-to place.

Great kennel experience. My dog loves to go and visit his friends there. Kirsten is awesome and regularly sends text pics of Murphy playing and having fun. Highly recommend!
