They were able to squeeze me in for a walk in sick visit. Dr.Oakes was very friendly and took his time explaining everything. The tech Tim and other staff also very friendly and helpful. Prices were affordable. Didn’t push any extra testing which is nice considering. Would definitely return again.

Winston Veterinary Hospital deserves five million stars, and then some. 🤩 We’ve been bringing our pets there ever since we moved back seven years ago, and the care has been nothing short of extraordinary. They supported us with so much compassion and tenderness through the years we had our three senior babies, and now they continue that same exceptional level of care with our new little ones. The kindness, empathy, and genuine heart of everyone on this team is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family, because that’s exactly how they treat both you and your pets. Their dedication and warmth truly set them apart, these incredible humans operate on an entirely different level, and we are endlessly grateful for them! ♥️

The pet care part is ok I suppose. But the experience of being there is akin to the Islamic conception of Jahannam, “the fire”. The waiting area is ok but then you go into an exam room - a windowless cubicle usually hovering around an arid ninety degrees. After about five minutes you can feel your will to live waning, and after fifteen one is reduced to a kind of weak, cowering shell, just praying for redemption. The appearance of a doctor who hasn’t read your dog’s chart and scolds you about not spaying your already-spayed pet doesn’t even register as you gasp for breath. You feel like you escape, not finish. Brutal.

My husband has been taking our dogs here since 2018. We even started taking our cat there because of the experience we’ve had. When we had to put our dog down a few months ago, the staff were really compassionate and patient with us and made sure to educate us on everything with what to expect. We can always count on them to get same day appointments, weekend appointments, and an overall great customer service experience.

I have visited twice with my foster dog and been pleased both times. I saw Dr. Schill first and then Dr. Hoffman today. I was able to get a same day appointment for a sick visit. The feeling I get is that this practice is caring, knowledgeable and accessible. The office staff has been friendly and efficient. I’m glad I found this practice and I wish I had known about them sooner. Keep up the good work!!
