Wilson County Adoption and Rescue Services

I was looking for someplace to donate blankets and towels. The shelter was closed, but someone responded to my inquiry right away and I was able to drop them off. Very nice, well kept property! Please support them if you can!

This past Sunday we drove to Floresville to visit the shelter. We were looking to adopt one or two kittens. When we arrived during posted "Open" time we discovered they were closed. I texted the number listed outside the door. I received an almost immediate response with an explanation that 2 Volunteers had family emergencies. (This shelter in managed strictly by Volunteers.) I was told Kim would be getting in touch with me. Within 5 minutes Kim contacted me and said she would drive in to meet us. Kim is very professional, thoughtful and considerate. She brought in with her a kitten that she herself has been fostering and then contacted another Foster to bring in additional kittens for us to meet. We love this shelter! They're an amazing group of volunteers and people that care about the well-being of all of the animals. We have adopted from WCARS, and will in the future.

They genuinely care about the dogs and want to help them find a forever home. Very nice people. Denise was a wonderful! They really need help here. If you have donations please keep their people in mind.

This weekend we saved two strayed puppies who would have otherwise starved to death. They were already at max capacity but were the only ones willing to help immediately. They are good people who are doing as much as they can solely through donations and volunteers! Highly recommend donating to them in you can.
