WAG contacted me that they had a one-year-old Border Collie mix available for adoption. I picked the dog up from the foster home and immediately noticed a strong, foul odor during the drive home. I initially assumed it was due to being on a farm or gas, but after two days it became clear the odor was coming from the dog’s breath. The dog was also extremely lethargic for her age, even after I bathed her. I contacted WAG with my concerns and was advised to bring the dog back so a veterinarian could examine her. My understanding was that the dog would be returned to me after the vet visit. When I arrived, a staff member raised her voice, accused me of exaggerating the symptoms, and stated the bad breath was due to a food change. I was also told that because I had not yet completed adoption

This is just a wonderful place that clearly prioritizes the welfare of the animals in their care. Though our new dog is a rescue he was treated with kindness and so is ready to thrive in his new forever home. Thank you WAG!

We adopted Turtle , renamed Harbour a black Labrador from WAG. The puppy is a wonderful addition to our family. Heather and her group did an amazing job rescuing and fostering the puppies . We're very appreciative and thankful for the work you do. Great job!

I called ahead to get information on an adorable puppy to adopt. It turns out the dog was already adopted that day which I had to find out myself after having my calls ignored. I am so upset and saddened that I got so excited for the dog that I got so excited after finding he was my dream breed and color, named after my first car, and even has the same birthday as me
