My boy was limping and in pain and although they couldn't find the cause they were able to lance and drain his swollen paw and send him home with ample medications. He's on the mend now and very comfortable. Initially when we came in, we had to unfortunately wait nearly an hour to be seen, and yes, I did time the wait, but they came in once to explain that they had some other high priority cases, and that is totally understandable. I wish that I was able to go in the back with him while they did his exam and treatment, but I was told to wait out front. The facility is new super-clean, convenient, well laid out, and staffed with friendly, professional employees. WestVet is amazing. Every time I’ve had to bring one of my fur babies in on an emergency basis, their entire staff has been incredibly kind, compassionate, and transparent. I’ve never had a bad experience with them. They aren’t my primary vet, but it never fails—my pups always seem to need help after hours or on a weekend, so I rely on their emergency services. Recently, they were very upfront about pricing for my dog’s surgery and even gave me the option to wait until my primary vet opened on Monday for a more affordable cost. I truly appreciate that honesty. I do wish their prices were a bit lower or more competitive with other clinics (especially for surgical needs), because I would love to use them for all of my pets’ care. My lab Freya developed some strange pain internally after we went hunting. Took her to the emergency as she was in considerable discomfort and distress. After waiting to be seen they took great care of my Freya. Examined her did an ultrasound could not find anything wrong with her. They gave her an injection for pain and some pills to take home. No pressure to run bloodwork or X-rays. Just a simple let’s wait and see. 2 days later she was back to her usual self. They even reached out and asked me how she was doing the next day. I highly recommend this after hours care clinic. Very pleased. I was not expecting the bill to be so high but I get it thus was an emergency room visit.

We took our senior cat in for an abscess on his neck that had popped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While our sweet boy was being assessed, the doctor found some other suspicious things going on with him, ran some tests, and he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. If it weren’t for the doctor going above and beyond and being so thorough with her assessment of our pet, we would’ve never known and he ultimately would have passed from heart failure, lung or kidney failure. She saved his life and gave him a few more good years to finish out his senior days! Thank you so much to the staff members who were on shift that night. I ended up taking my cat Oreo in to the emergency vet late last week. Upon entering they immediately took her back and gathered information. They placed us in a room as they worked on her. A doctor came in to the room to inform us on her. Unfortunately it wasn’t sounding good. She has been struggling with respiratory problems for a few years. My roommate and I were hurt obviously by hearing this, but the Dr. Didn’t want to hold her from us and let us sit with her. It was hard seeing her in the chamber but the Dr. (I wish I remembered her name) and the assistant were always checking on us and her. They truly cared about us and her at the moment. She unfortunately was showing us signs she wasn’t going to make it without the chamber so we chose the hard decision to let her rest. As we euthan
