Horrible horrible, this is a Ball Python, nothing in this tank is right, the should NOT be on aspen it’s so bad and they should know this for the amount of exotics they have, and the water bowl and one hide ? What the hell even is this. This makes me very angry I went in one day and asked to see this sweet boy and they told me she just ate to come back the next day which is not okay either for snake they should have some knowledge about them … I came back the next day and asked to see the same ball python and the lady tried to say he just ate and I told her that the owner told me to come by that day and she laughed because she didn’t expect that, she proceeds to take me to the back and pull him out as I’m looking at him and checking for anything wrong she peels in the cage and said “oh he

What can I say about purchasing "locally"!!! The owner has so much knowledge about every species of animals. The staff is well trained as well. The pricing are on par with the large companies and the "Customer Service" is hands down the best in New Mexico. If anyone has a question that is more technical or medical the staff calls the owner, and she will answer everyones questions.

I've never went out of my way to actually review a place but this store was so horribly taken care of that I just felt it would have been wrong not to raise awareness about this place. I went in today for my first time ever to see if I could find and ask questions about specific parrots I am hoping to adopt/rescue when im older. As I looked around I was flabbergasted, mainly by the bird section of the store; there are big birds such as a amozon, eclectus and Gala parrots that are stuck in very small cages not suitable for there size that are riddled with poop. And I understand that birds poop a lot (about every 15 ish minutes) and mess up there surroundings but even so the cages are so small that all the birds can do is sit on the perche that is in their cage to stay out of their poop. The

The owner gives horribly wrong information about reptiles. I took her suggestions about my leopard geckos which resulted in one almost dying and the vet saying everything she said was completely wrong. I also recently bought a bearded dragon from her which she said to only feed twice a week. This poor thing is malnourished. Two vets and everything online says they need fed daily. Please please do not take their advice. These animals are badly mistreated.

This pet shop is horribly managed and absolutely filthy. I genuinely feel bad for the animals here. When I visited, I saw a tortoise flipped over on its back, struggling and panicking. I told one of the workers right away, but she didn’t care at all. We had to go back a second time and insist before she finally helped him, and anyone who knows tortoises understands that being on their back too long can actually kill them. They suffocate and can't breath. The turtle tanks are kept right on the floor, and many of the animals appear malnourished and mistreated. The smell when you walk in is overwhelming, and the entire place is dirty and neglected. To make it worse, everything is overpriced. This is not a place that cares about animals. I do not recommend supporting this business.
