I had a great experience adopting my dog through this rescue. The team was communicative, organized, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. They worked closely with me to coordinate transporting him from the West Coast to the East Coast, which made the adoption possible and seamless. It was clear they cared about placing him in the right home and were thoughtful and responsive every step of the way. He is incredibly sweet and well-adjusted, and it’s obvious he was cared for prior to adoption. I’m very grateful to this rescue for the work they do and would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering adoption.

Adopted a beautiful Shepherd just a week ago from Westside. They truly have a good understanding of dogs personalities to ensure you get an accurate profile of the dog and know who is a good fit for your family. Key facts - Non kill shelter. They pull dogs on death row out of dozens of kill shelters all the way I to the Central Valley - Highly selective. The worst thing for everyone involved is a failed adoption, especially for the dog. Not everyone is right or ready for a German Shepherd, a dog that requires attention, time, guidance and exercise. Your household and home will be screened carefully, so be forwarned. - Excellent matching and support - screeners will work with you to make sure you get the dog you want. There are trainers and a whole community available afterwards to help with any issue you might have. - Currently at the LA Auto Show 11/23 and 11/29 from 11-3 in the Subaru exhibit.

Entire staff was wonderful and so helpful. So many looking for homes. Let us put 3 in a play area to see how they would do. Ended up with one Zeppelin 90 pound love bug. Wants to be near you all the time. Again the staff and trainer so wonderful. Great thing is they screen people first to make sure they all go to good homes.

I am not usually one to leave reviews, but as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), I feel it is important to share our experience. My son recently applied to adopt his first German Shepherd through this rescue. Unfortunately, the process did not reflect the professionalism or transparency one would expect. It took over two weeks for the rescue to respond to our application, and when they finally did, the email we received came across as quite dismissive and rude. One concern raised was that puppies could not be placed in apartments because they are unvaccinated. From a veterinary standpoint, this was confusing.
