The staff here are so phenomenal!!! They really do treat your pets like their own. Dr. Luke was so nice, and he explained everything and was very thorough. Tammy was also amazing. She literally handled my cat like a pro even though my cat is a little tough at the vet. I could not have asked for a better staff to take care of my pet.

I went to West Lake Veterinary Medical Center this morning with my 13-year-old Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, Lovie. I am new to the area and it was my first time there. The receptionist was so sweet and so understanding and got me in right away to see DR. Blackburn. I knew that my precious girl was not long for this world and Dr Blackburn made sure that I was making the right decision for her and stayed with me until it was over. He is a wonderful man and I know that just from today’s visit. I am so happy to have found this hospital for my Yorkies and my Springerdoodle too. I drive from Vinton to the Lake because Dr. Luke and his team provide care you simply can’t find anywhere else. Twinkie is new here because my previous vet wouldn’t spay her due to a condition she has affecting her swallowing, but Dr. Luke approached her case with expertise, patience, and genuine compassion. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how deeply they care about their patients, not just medically, but also for their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. Every question I had was answered thoughtfully. I’ve been to multiple vets over the years with multiple pets, and I have never experienced this level of genuine care and compassion. The Lake community is truly fortunate to have such a dedicated veterinarian and team.

Everyone that works here is so knowledgeable and you can tell they really care about your pets like their own. Dr Luke is wonderful, I've taken all of my critters here for several years now. I also never feel ripped off when I pay my bill, I'm usually surprised at how well priced their services are for the quality of care they give.

Very professional and courteous. The staff and doctors show genuine concern and empathy toward our pets and give concise, easy to understand directions and information. Highly recommended.
