West Deer Township Dog Shelter

Amazing place! What these lovely individuals go through to keep the pups feeling happy, healthy, safe and warm is above and beyond!

I couldn't have my 14 year old fur baby in the apartment complex; Barb and her staff welcomed Molly Brown. They are all very caring people, Molly is in the best of hands. She's close by so I still see her every day, the highlight of my day. God bless shelters and workers such as these. It's a blessing to know that the dogs at this shelter are so well cared for.

Such nice people that work/ volunteer there!!

This place has a nice idea as far as helping the community with re-homing dogs that need help. My middle school-aged daughter tried to volunteer here, and as it turns out, an important condition of volunteering is a willingness to breathe second hand cigarette smoke the entire time you're doing work with the dogs. The people who run it smoke heavily and have no interest in providing a healthy environment for young people who are volunteering.

I simply stopped by to donate a bag of dog food. The lady that assisted me was very kind and appreciative. The facility looked well kept from what I could see.
