Walk This Way Canine Behavior Therapy

Archie is our first dog and I had absolutely no idea how to take care of a puppy and train him to be a member of our family. Renee was great - before we even brought him home she helped me decide what I needed and how he should be treated in those first few days. Her house training advice was practical and easy to follow. She has such a positive and friendly personality which made learning the puppy basics fun and much less stressful than I’d imagined. To this day when Archie sees her he gets super exited and gives her a big hello! I highly recommend working with Renee!

Renee has trained my two dogs — a Golden Retrievers and a Cavapoo. Her “dog intuition” is always on target. My high energy Cavapoo puppy refused to potty outside. Renee briefly observed her and suggested an easy solution which worked immediately. After a few weeks of consistently implementing Renee’s plan, my pup mastered potty breaks outside. My Golden Retriever liked to eat whatever she could find on our walks—from garbage to frogs. She also refused to get into my car. Renee listened to me, observed my dog, and set up positive training techniques to deal with both of these issues. Again, after consistent work, the pup overcame her love of garbage and now happily jumps into the car. Renee then trained both dogs as therapy dogs. We had a 6 month old puppy who would not go out to walk. We contacted Renee for help and within the first session our yellow lab was walking the entire road. We were shocked at how quickly and gently Renee persuaded her to walk. We have had Renee back for a number of other issues and she helped us tremendously. I can’t say enough how great of a trainer she is. She has a special way of dealing with your fur baby with lots of encouragement and a gentle approach. Highly recommend her.

I first met Renee is 2019 as my dog was being trained to become a therapy dog. As a self- proclaimed helicopter Mom, I found her to be patient and kind. What I didn’t realize when we signed up, is that I’m the one she’s actually training. We have since become friends and I trust her implicitly with all dogs. With over 10,000 hours of experience, she is truly an expert.

Renee is amazing! She explained and demonstrated to me what needed to be done to bring a third dog into my pack. My older dog wasn’t thrilled to get a new sister. Now they are besties. I would have given up if it wasn’t for Renee! Highly recommend.
