Workers love pitbulls a little too much and prioritize them over others. I think its a mix of virtue-signaling and some kind of weird political connotation??? This lady was actively telling me how a husky would bite me if I stopped it from doing anything. She said her dog is not known for being violent and still bit her when she held the dog down. I asked what dog. Take a guess. Take a guess how many times I’ve been bit my husky. Zero. Very silly people, just be direct and get what you want. Don’t listen to them.

I'm not sure if this animal shelter is ran completely different from others, but I assure you the one in my own county is top tier to this location. My 80 year old parents lost their baby. We would have never thought he got as far as Wake County, but he did after checking with Granville & Vance. They charged my parent $215. to get their baby back, making them sign a waiver that he wasn't vaccinated, saying he would have been euthanized that day. We came just in time. After leaving several of the employees called repeatedly trying to get us to bring him back to receive vaccines, since they messed up, & charged them for them. We were told he was spicy & bit someone & he hasn't acted his normal self since picking him up. They wouldn't even bring him out to us, My dad had to go back and get hi

My wife and I came for a cat but ran into this beautiful dog in the process. She was so sweet and I knew she'd be a great hiking buddy. The staff was nice and helpful. The dogs seemed to have been taken great care of. My dog came up to date on shots and fixed and she fit right in to our family.

I’ve had two great experiences with this shelter. The front desk staff are so sweet, and every volunteer is beyond incredible. We adopted Charlotte (shelter name was Luna) in April 2019. She has been such a blessing to our family. I got her “on sale” when the shelter was over crowded. We adopted Denver (shelter name was Poppi) on my birthday in May of this year. He has settled in nicely with our pack, and has been the best birthday present ever! Adopt don’t shop is by far the BEST!

My husband & I adopted a beautiful South Paw (he only has left front leg) over 2 years ago from Wake Co Animal Shelter. His name is Dumas Walker. We love him so much! He lets us live in his house😊 My husband made beds in front of windows, we steps all over him. Thank You We'd take another amputee in a heart beat💙
