Von Waldberg Kennels

We love training at Von Waldberg Kennels. We've gone through all of their obedience classes and we've really enjoyed learning how to build up our communication with our pup. Everyone has been fantastic to work with, even when our boy tried to escape the bathtub when being groomed.

We’ve had a outstanding experience across the board with Von Waldberg. Kate and her team have been wonderful to work with from day one and we feel like they genuinely care not only about their dogs but also about finding good homes for these amazing animals. We brought our pup home in January and he has been nothing short of exceptional. He’s extremely sweet, very smart and at almost nine months old now is blossoming into quite the physical specimen too! We’ve been training with Frank for several months which has been a great experience as well. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Von Waldberg to anyone who’s serious about owning a German Shepherd.

Not a “satisfied” customer, safety of my dog was questionable. She broke a tooth & escaped her kennel. Had to have the tooth extracted. Completely wasted money that did more harm than good. UPDATED RESULTS REVIEW - Lied about everything even after knowing the harmful experience my dog & I had with them. Zack even said they would refund fees for the extraction of the tooth my dog needed after her stay with them, but did not. I also asked them to help with more training, so that all the money I paid at that time would be made up for somewhat, but they did not follow through with that either. If you have a highly sensitive companion with separation anxiety,& high drive, I would recommend staying away from this kennel for any services. My low review is due to the recent communications and avoidance of the owners. For historical context, we have a male German Shepherd, from Von Waldberg, who is about 6 years old. He had some minor health issues early on which included a heart murmur and one testicle did not drop requiring additional surgery (along with a cist that developed on his tail). Roughly 2 years ago, he then developed severe skin issues ranging from yeast to bacterial infections all over along with a life long issue with Perianal Fistula (which requires daily medication). After extensive vet visits we were able to find a dermatologist that confirmed a myriad of environmental allergies and placed him on a permanent injection treatment. My best friend just turned four this July and it made me realize how fast time has gone. It feels like just yesterday when I drove up to Von Waldberg to pick him up at seven weeks old. He was so quiet and confident, even at such a young age. My husband and I always brag about how quickly it took to potty train him. He had one accident in the house, was reprimanded, and never did it ever again. Axel is the most amazing dog I have ever had. People constantly compliment his handsome features and demeanor. He is the most gorgeous German Shepherd my family has ever owned and you can see exactly what he got from each parent.
