Volunteers in Defense of Animals (VIDA Rescue)

We got our dog, Moon, from this shelter in Dec 2025 and she has been a great bundle of joy to our lives. I appreciate everyone who works and volunteers at this rescue shelter for everything that you guys do to help the animals. Thank you Bella & Laura as well.

Should have written this review years ago when I adopted my puppy back in Aug 2022! He has been a life changer and was really great with my senior dog. I appreciate VIDA Rescue for what they do with these animals and trying their best to do what they can. Shelters/Rescues are very stressful environments, so I understand when people say they are not the cleanest environments. I had no issues with the adoption process and have a great dog from them. Might even start fostering for them if I am able to since I know these animals need all the help they can get!

We got a new dog! She is amazing. I was not expecting to find a dog that fit so well with my family. I was not expecting to find a dog that was so well cared for. They set me up for success by chipping her, fixing her and paying for my first vet visit. I was so impressed with the service and quality of animals at this place. Amazing!

This post is regarding the adoption of our dog Sofee. (Sofee is a dog that someone returned because they were keeping her in an apartment.) I have waited over one year to write this. I cannot comment on to whether VIDA are good or bad people. The person I dealt with was a young lady and we didn’t speak more that 20 words but she was professional and appropriate. I contacted them. I filled out a form online and set up an appointment to meet the dog. The meet and great area is something to be desired,but at the same time this was the tail end of Covid. I am usually not one to write reviews but I felt it would be good because the review of our dog was very negative. We got a great dog. Troubled past being abandoned and then returned. The customer service is terrible. I asked her to rescue a dog from San Bernadino Animal Shelter and I will pay all the cost plus promise to adopt it. She refused to save a life and argue that I am not listen to her. When I listen to her and she said she will not recue and she has another 11 dogs to put down. What is the purpose of rescue org.? She has no respect to animal and how come she worked there.
