Village Veterinary Clinic

I would highly recommend the Village Vet if you're looking for a vet for your pet in the Lompoc/Village area. Only downside is that they can be a bit busy and I often had to wait for a bit despite having an appointment scheduled. But besides for that, they are excellent here. I've been taking my dog here for the past 3+ years and they've been so great. My dog is an anxious one and they've accommodated so well. I have to bring her in on a near-monthly basis to get her anal glands expressed and pretty much every vet tech and doctor I've experienced here has been great. She had a couple times of nervous reactions, so she's had to wear a muzzle, but they're so sweet and kind with her still, and they all follow the notes in her files so well so everyone that interacts with her is on the same p

I don't usually leave reviews but this one is absolute must. I recently met with Dr. Bennett for my Dog Max, the care she provided for my fur baby was 10 stars! She took her time, didn't over order but explained everything in detail. My baby has arthritis from a ACL tear, she helped plan his dietary needs in detail, the amount of time, love and care was far exceeded! I recommend Dr. Bennett and the staff are beyond helpful as well. Their clinic is spotless, the extra's they provide is nice as well. For anyone looking for a good clinic, I highly recommend Village Vet!

I cannot recommend Dr. Deter highly enough. I adopted my rescue dog, Buttercup, who had been abused and was living under a car. At the time, I didn’t have a job or steady income, and Buttercup helped me rebuild my life, eventually enabling me to start working and pursue my teaching credential and master’s degree. I didn’t know much about dogs, but I had taken Buttercup to Care for Paws for dental care. After the cleanings, her teeth looked white and clean, so I thought she was fine. They didn’t have an x-ray machine available at the time, and I didn't know x-rays were necessary or something they did for dogs, so some underlying issues weren’t detected. I’d like to say that the Village vets are a great team of people that work really good together to help people in their pets out. They’re all heart. They put their whole shelves into their job. You can tell and I just appreciate that. I have them to help me with my pets they help me one time which it was the hardest thing for me to do or anybody else. I’m sure of it was my dog. I had to put her down and I mean that dog was part of me And it really really helped me through that and I just wanted to let people know that they’re a really great bunch up there really great thank you Village fit you guys are great. Our catboy Greyjoy loves going to Village Vet for his Yearly checkup. He met his new Vet, Dr. Deter. Exam,Two vaccines and a bartonella re-test at my request. He had bartonella when he was a feral kitten and Village Vet got him on the 3 wk-2 antibiotic therapy w/a probiotic, assuring Greyjoy a disease free life. Village Vet has a very clean front office, exam room and it smelled nice. The restroom was spotless . The entire Village Vet Staff is friendly & helpful. I feel confident they will provide the best Veterinary Care for Greyjoy....Walter
